The Northeast Asian History Foundation held its 2025 New Year's ceremony on January 2 at 10 a.m. in the main conference room. The ceremony included the appointment of new officers, the presentation of appointment certificates to new employees, and their reflections on joining, as well as the awarding of commendations to employees who contributed to the foundation's development in 2024 and the Minister of Education's awards.

 

In her New Year's address, President Park Jihang emphasized that this year marks the 80th anniversary of liberation, the 60th anniversary of Korea-Japan diplomatic normalization, and the 20th anniversary of the Northeast Asian History Foundation's establishment, highlighting it as a significant year. She outlined the foundation's vision and strategic direction, focusing on its role as a "historical research think tank leading the correct historical awareness of future generations." Plans include expanding research achievements, strengthening policy functions through joint research and organizational restructuring, enhancing public relations to disseminate outcomes, and broadening international networks and cooperation through global initiatives. Additionally, the foundation aims to innovate its management and operational systems by enhancing efficiency through digital transformation and system reorganization.

 

President Park also stressed the importance of improving employee welfare and the work environment, urging all members to foster a harmonious organizational culture through mutual growth and cooperation. She concluded her address by calling for the participation and efforts of all employees to drive the Northeast Asian History Foundation's advancement.
