2011 NAHF Sponsorship Program for Publication

Northeast Asian History Foundation (NAHF) recruits an excellent manuscript or a collection of manuscripts to be published as a book. Applications should be made as in the following lireetims.

1. Subjects

  · Korea-Japan history, Korea-China history, common historical recognition in East Asia and issues pertinent to Dokdo, East Sea and territorial rights etc.
  · Other subjects in pursuant to the Foundation’s founding objective.

  □ Applicants Qualification
    · Overseas English publication company
    · Korean publication company capable of overseas English publication or with contract for publication with foreign companies

    · Applications will be accepted between March 14 and March 25, 2011
    · Notice of Selection: company who have been accepted will be notified by April 29, 2011


3. Review and Selection Process

  □ Examination Process
    * A deliberation committee will make a final decision based on 3-stage reviews.

  □ Details of Examination
    · 1st stage of review: confirm whether applicants meets requirements
    · 2nd stage of review: (subject review)
      - Materials for review: documents and articles submitted
      - Focus of review: articles are thorough and unique, possible contribution to relevant area (academic value and balanced viewpoint of subject), adequate research content, and previous researches conducted etc.
    · 3rd stage of review: (overall deliberation): Overall review based on the outcome of the 2nd stage of review
    * The committee may not select winner if there is no available candidate


4. General Information Related to Publication

  · Within total amount of USD 20,000 including delivery fare, your publications could be purchased by the NAHF
  · Books shall be published by October 31, 2011
  · Writer should take note of the Foundation’s sponsorship upon publication
* Details can be discussed with the Foundation after the selection


5. Cancellation of “2011 NAHF Sponsorship Program for Publication”

  · Applicant publishes proposal through other organizations (or companies) in the same name
  · Applicant illegally using theme and main contents of selected articles
  · Articles infringing intellectual property rights
  · Articles subject to revision and enlargement of already published books
  · Applicant is guilty of providing false research or other inappropriate behavior such as plagiarism
