2013 Northeast Asian History Foundation Fellowship Program
for Northeast Asian Studies
 
The Northeast Asian History Foundation announces its Fellowship Program for Northeast Asian Studies for 2013. The Fellowship Program is designed to provide foreign scholars an opportunity to conduct research in South Korea. Scholars with research interests in Northeast Asian studies, including history, political science, international law, and other fields, are encouraged to apply. See below for further details and the application form.

1. Fields of Study
·        Specialists in issues regarding territory and territorial waters in Northeast Asia
·       Specialists in the history of Northeast Asian countries and their interaction
 
2. Qualifications
Individuals who are currently engaged in teaching and research activities and are affiliated with an institution in a foreign country are eligible to apply
 
3. Grant Period and Fellowship Grants
·       Grant period : up to six months by mutual consent
·       Monthly stipend: 4,000,000 won (paid in Korean won)
 
4. Application Period and Process
·        Application period: February 1, 2013 - February 18, 2013
·        Applicants may submit the application documents by mail, email, or fax

                      ③ One Letter of Recommendation
·        The applicants selected will be notified by email by the end of February, 2013
 
6. Obligations
·       Visiting scholars must submit a research report within three months after the end of their research period
·       Visiting scholars must give presentations on their research at the Northeast Asian History Foundation at least once during their research period
·       If research conducted through this Program is published, the support of the Northeast Asian History Foundation should be specified and one copy of the publication should be submitted to the Northeast Asian History Foundation
