On February 3, the Northeast Asian History Foundation Library reopened with a fresh new look. The foundation’s executives and staff attended the reopening ceremony organized by the center and toured the newly renovated facilities.

Through this renewal, the Archives Center has transformed into a more user-friendly library. To enhance accessibility, key collections, including textbooks and materials related to Dokdo, have been prominently arranged on the shelves.

The center houses approximately 110,000 items, including monographs, academic journals, textbooks, and maps. As a specialized library focusing on Northeast Asian history, diplomacy, and territorial and maritime issues, its collection primarily consists of academic books on East Asian history and Korea-China-Japan diplomatic relations rather than general literature or popular reading materials. Among these, around 8,400 history and social studies textbooks published in Korea, China, and Japan serve as fundamental resources for comparative analysis.

With this reopening, the center is expected to further enhance research support and improve accessibility to historical materials.
