The Foundation held an academic conference on Friday, October 24, in the Foundation’s medium conference room under the theme “The Return of Geopolitical Blocs and Peace on the Korean Peninsula.” The event was organized to examine the rapidly changing geopolitical landscape surrounding the Korean Peninsula and to explore pathways for maintaining peace in the region.

The conference consisted of two sessions. The first session (History) analyzed the characteristics of the Korean Peninsula’s geopolitics from the modern imperial era to the Korean War from a historical perspective. The second session (International Politics) examined current geopolitical changes and crises surrounding the Korean Peninsula from an international political standpoint, followed by a comprehensive discussion on practical measures to sustain peace on the peninsula.
