The title is a collection of papers presented at the conference co-hosted by the Northeast Asian History Foundation and the Forum for the Study of East Asian History. The conference served as a venue for reviewing the history of intellectual exchanges in East Asia and discussing the mechanisms behind the formation and operation of collective historical memories. The conference set out to share East Asia’s historical experiences and memories and ultimately contribute to resolving the region’s lingering historical issues. Among the 35 papers presented, 13 were selected for this title. The title was published simultaneously in Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
