Baekdu Mountain, standing at 2,744 meters above sea level, is the highest peak on the Korean Peninsula, with its summit known as Janggunbong. Currently, there are three routes to reach Baekdu Mountain from Seoul: the northern, western, and southern areas, which are close to the Chinese border.
