Kick-off Meeting for 2018
On January 2, 2018, the Northeast Asian History Foundation's entire staff including its president gathered to hold a kick-off meeting for the year of 2018. Through his opening remarks, President Kim Do-hyung said "while circumstances remain complex today in Northeast Asia, the Foundation must revisit its initial resolutions in order to help Korea wisely overcome historical conflicts and advance on a path toward future-oriented reconciliation." He stressed that for the Foundation to reestablish its identity, it needs to stay devoted to its original responsibilities of carrying out systematic research projects, suggesting reasonable alternatives to the government and society, and offering quality promotional services and education at home and abroad on relevant issues. He also encouraged everyone to dedicate the best of their efforts since each and every member plays an equally important role for the Foundation.
