Kwak Jino Appointed as New Director of Dokdo Research Institute

NAHF Research fellow Kwak Jino has been appointed as the new director of the Dokdo Research Institute. Director Kwak received his doctoral degree in political science from the University of Hull and since joining the Dokdo Research Institute when it was established in 2008, he has been researching issues related to contemporary Korea-Japan relations, Dokdo, and the East Sea.

Publication of JTMS no. 5-2

The latest issue no. 5-2 of the Journal of Territorial and Maritime Studies (JTMS) has been released to present a total of five new research papers. The English language academic journal launched in 2014 to promote international academic discussion on East Asian territorial and maritime issues is published biannually.

Research Fellow Hong Myeon-ki's Retirement

On June 28, 2018 (Thursday), the retirement ceremony for Research fellow Hong Myeon-ki was held at the NAHF grand conference hall. During his time at NAHF, Doctor Hong served as head of the Policy research Team, head of the Office of Policy Planning, and director of Dokdo Museum Seoul.
